About the author
was born on the 26st of May 1993 in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. She graduated from Veluws College Walterbosch (highschool) in 2010 with a focus on beta courses concerning the study program on Nature, Health, and Technology. She entered the bachelor Technical Innovation Sciences at Eindhoven University of Technology later that year.
In February 2016, she completed the follow-up master(Innovation Sciences), by presenting her thesis about different car sharing business models and their role in a sustainability transition in Australia. The research was conducted at the Institute for Sustainable Futures (ISF) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
After her graduation, she worked as a researcher at the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development at Utrecht University, where she investigated the taxi-company ‘Uber’ from an institutional entrepreneurship perspective. Subsequently, she started the pursuit for her PhD degree byresearching the topic of upscaling niche innovations and the governance of sustainability transitions, in collaboration with the European-funded Intermediary InnoEnergy. Academically,she has published in Elsevier journals such as Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews (RESR) and Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions (EIST).
